My Struts application is attempting to export the contents of a table to a CSV text file.
I have gotten this to work in the past but am now having trouble after the export in getting
the mapping.findforward to function properly. In the past, the export worked, and after it
was complete, the mapping.findforward would load the appropriate page, either success.jsp or
failure.jsp depending.
Am I missing an obvious step here? It never...

Our production database in an exported textfil runs about 60 MB.
Compressed that's about 9 MB.
I'm trying to import the export into another machine running FC3 and
mySQL 11.18, and it appears as though the file may be too big!
When I try to do it via command line:
mysql -u root --host=localhost printing < ./printing.txt
It eventually errors out with a "syntax error on line X" and only about

Hello,
I have data in an Access table that I would like to export to multiple
HTML tables. I would like to split the data in the Access table
(about 92,000 records) into multiple HTML tables/files to reduce
download time and bandwidth usage on my web server. That way, the
user can select a particular page to download instead of downloading a
page with all of the records.
I would like to set a limit of only 500 records per file.

Hi,
I'm trying to come up with a way of generating 'warning' e-mails based on
specific criteria within an Access (2003) database. I've decided to do this
by exporting specific information to a text file which then gets parsed by a
simple shell program and processed by a 3rd party SMTP engine (Blat).
With my VERY limited knowledge of VB and Access coding, this is what I've
come up with so far:-

I need to copy records from several different tables into one text file.
Although the tables have many common fields, they also contain several that
are different from table to table. I can copy and paste the dissimilar
records manually into the text file, so it would seem that should be
possible to do programatically.
I set up export specifications for each of the twelve tables and tried to
export each to the same text file. This...

I have data in a table in an Access 2000 database that needs to be exported
to a formatted text file. For instance, the first field is an account number
that is formatted in the table as text and is 8 characters long. This field
needs to be exported as pic(15) padded in the front with 0's (zeros). The
next field an ID name that is 15 characters that needs to be exported as
pic(20) padded with trailing spaces. There are about 5 fields in...

Hello.
I'm working in Access 2003 and I'm new to VBA.
I'm trying to create a button on a form that will run my query (based on the 2 drop down box parameter selections made by the user). The query runs in the background and needs to be exported to a fixed-width (as in fixed width columns) text file. The text file will be loaded to a mainframe for ftp to our client.
I was able to get the button and query to work, but I keep getting an...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
