Problem Changing Data Directory in Server 2005

1 New Member
Ok, this is the second install I haev tried of 2005 to get this right, and something is not working correctly. The server is in a cluster, and it has 4 drives available in the cluster... the N Drive is supposed to be the Data drive, and during install, I specify it as such, but when I get it installed, the L drive shows up as the data drive.

Now, I figured that wasn't a huge problem, so I clicked on the DB and hit properties and went to database settings and clicked on 'browse' on Data but ONLY the L drive shows up... no others. I have made sure that the cluster is working correctly and that all drive are viewable on both nodes. Any ideas? Thank you.

I have already asked this, but no one seems to know the answer. Here is the timeline. I wanted to use the membership/roles functionality in a site. I got all sorts of errors trying to get this setup on the site through the admin interface. So I yanked it out of the application since it did not work. Now everytime I load the site after changing the application I get this error message. If I simply refresh the page, everything works...

I'm having problems w/ the VS2005 debugger with C#. It blows past any breakpoints in even the simplest "Hello World" console application. I can't do any step-by-step debugging. I've provided the code and debugging output later in this post. I've seen a number of threads with similar problems that I'll address below. The one that's the largest concern is this one, which talks about the same problem trying to use the debugger with SQL...

Hello, all, I started out thinking my problems were elsewhere but as I have worked through this I have isolated my problem, currently, as a difference between MSDE and SQL Express 2005 (I'll just call it Express for simplicity). I have, to try to simplify things, put the exact same DB on two systems, one running MSDE and one running Express. Both have 2 Ghz processors (one Intel, one AMD), both have a decent amount of RAM (Intel system...

I've just upgraded our WIndows 2003 (with SBS server) web server to .Net framework 2.0 (it had 1.1 before) As I have been working on a web parts page on my laptop, hosting it there, working perfectly. I want to transfer it now, so I upgraded it. Created a new application pool for .net2.0 stuff, then used Visual Studio 2005 from my laptop to connect to Http://Bw-online/ProjectPoint and make a new website. Bw-online is our intranet at...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
