I have a table that has a Text datatype column that has gotten some
garbage
characters in it somehow, probably from key entry. I need to remove
the garbage, multiple occurances of char(15). The replace function
does not work on Text datatype. Any suggestions?

I have an Access 2000 MDB file with a SQL 7 back end. I have a main table
with 50,000 records; and I have a selections table with 50,000 records for
each machine that uses the database (about 25-50). This allows each user to
have their own set of selections.
The selections table has three fields: ID (int), Sel (bit), MachName
(varchar). ID and MachName comprise the primary key.
I have a view that combines the main table and the entries...

Language: C
Excel Reading Method: ExecuteReade
I am currently running into a challenge reading excel data when datatype formats are different in the SAME column. It seems like datatype (in the OleDbDataReader schema) is set by the first data row and that causes a problem if any of the subsequent rows in that column holds a diffrent datatype

I am returning a datatable from a stored procedure and then iterating
through the columns. I am trying to find out if a column has the sql
data type of ntext. In .net the datatype of a sql ntext column is
System.String. .Net also returns System.String for varchar, char, text,
nvarchar and nchar. This obviously does not help me as I want to
identify the ntext column
I have searched for this and cannot find the answer in .net. I can...

ASP.NET 2.0 with Text DataTypes:
I've got a similar question going in the SQL group, but I was wondering if
anyone has successfully implemented reading/writing character data from a
Text datatype column in SQL 2000. I know there's a Varchar(MAX) feature in
SQL2005, but my budget mocks me right now and I need to do it in SQL 2K.
Situation:
I'm building a resume DB, and for ease of input, I'd really like to be able
to use a single...

Hi, all.
I'm running 8.2 on Windows.
This is a development platform for a project whose production

I believe that the RI compilation process is not quite as robust on
Windows as it is in other environments. Here's what I'm finding:

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
