Hi,
I have a problem on updating some records on sql server 2005.
I can update the records in the table apart from some records.
Records are added to table by a .net application.
When I try to update some records on the table (1-2 records ~1500 records) sql server shows "executing query" message but it cannot execute the update query for these records.
on the other records updating query works fine.
Do you have any idea?

Hi all,
Any thoughts on the best way to run an update query to update a specific
list of records where all records get updated to same thing. I would think
a temp table to hold the list would be best but am also looking at the
easiest for an end user to run. The list of items is over 7000
Example:
update imitmidx_sql set activity_cd = 'O', activity_dt = '20060601',

The system has worked for two years.
SQL Server 2000 runs on Windows 2000 Server "A".
Another instance of SQL Server 2000 was moved from Windows 2000 Server
"B" old to Windows 2003 Server "B" new, by restoring a backed
up copy from old to new.

I used to work in a Sybase database environment. When I had to insert/
update records in the database, I always used "insert on existing
update", in this way, you didn't have to check whether a record
already existed (avoid errors) and you were always sure that after
running the scripts, the last version was in the database.
Now I'm looking for the same functionality in MS SQL Server, asked a
few people, but nobody knows about...

..Rows.clear()

and the rows in a datagridview still not cleared
I populated the Datagridview manually using Row.Add

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
