MS Query - how to filter by date range

1 New Member
I have Excel 2003 and am using the Microsft Query function to pull in data via SQL from a database. However, I want to set a filter on the data that only pulls in dates between Today and 14 days ago. Query does not recognize NOW() or TODAY(). I do I write the SQL statement to only pull data within a given date range (Today and 14 days ago)?

Thanks,
J

if it's a query in sql server, that would be GETDATE()

There must be a way to enhance the performance of a query, or find a plausible workaround, but I seem to be hitting a wall. I have tried a few tweaks, however, there has been no improvement. Simply, I'm including one calcualtion from a separate table/query. It sums the total units sold to date by ProductID number and is used in other select queries to perform various calculations. Perhaps there is an advantage in working with a maximum...

Hi, The db I'm trying to update has a report form from which all other statistical forms and reports are selected/printed by dept, type, cost, number etc. The report form uses a date filter to generate the necessary data and you can also addtionally filter by by individual department/s, supplier/s if you so wish which is great However, I'm trying to develop an individual statistical form that for one subform uses the date filter as...

I have reports that run from a form where the user can choose a date range, or they run automatically for a week in the "Weekly Reports" option. I created 2 queries and 2 reports - one query uses the WeekEndDate to filter, and its associated report heading says "For the week Ending " & forms!frmPrintReports.getWeekEndDate. The other query selects the date range using "Between" and the 2 dates on the form. Its associated report header...

Hi All, I'm struggling to get a QBF query working. I have 9 fields and a date range in the form. When I put these fields into the Design View and use the criteria (except the date range which uses BETWEEN) : "Forms!! OR Forms!! IS NULL" I get "Query is Too Complex" error. I've tried stripping out the date range and applying it as a filter in a macro, but it doesn't understand the BETWEEN argument. How can I apply the date range to the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
