Hi there,
I am having a few problems compiling a list box that is conditional on what
is selected in another list box.
What i need is a List box (lstArea) that displays one thing when the List
Box (lstRegion) is selected East or West. Basically the areas will change
when East or West is selected in lstRegion.
The data comes from an SQL Server view, and my current non-working code is
as follows, my syntax in the SQL statement is...

Hi there,
I have a problem in my ASP/SQL Server application i am developing, i hope
you guys can help.
I have a ASP form with list boxes populated by SQL tables. When a user
selects a value in a list box and submits the form the value is put into a
session variable and the relevant page is displayed (in accordance to one of
the list boxes).
The page is then displayed with the relevant SQL data. So far i have got the

Hello,
I've been just investigating IE conditional comments - hiding things from
non-IE/Win browsers is easy, but I wanted to know, if it's possible to hide
code from IE/Win browsers.
I found <!> in the original MSDN documentation, but this is (although
it is working) unfortunately non-validating gibberish.
So I fooled around trying to find a way to make it valid. And voila:

Dear NG,
I would like to format a record in a subform, dependent on a value in one
field.
If one field in the record I show in a subform (datasheet view) is true I
like to view that particular row in green, all other rows just as they are
normal. Is that possible ?
regards
Allan

Given:
Access 2002/2003
A subform in datasheet or continuous view, placed on a tab page (this last
may or may not matter)
Conditional formatting applied to some controls on the subform -
format expressions are the same for all controls
Under some undetermined circumstances, when such subform is displayed, the
controls on the subform start to visibly flicker, the cursor in the subform
stops blinking, and CPU utilization goes to 100%....

Does anyone know a way you can use conditional formatting to create a banded
style view as is commonly seen on the internet. (In othe words the first
record appears on a gray background, the 2nd on white, the third on gray etc
etc.) I could write an expression based on the odd/even status of the
primary key but this wont work when sorting and filtering is applied.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Is there any way to use conditional formating to change a control for a
field in a continuous form to a textbox, option group or combobox depending
on the value of another field on the form? On a continuous form, I need some
records to have a textbox, some to have an option group and some to have a
combobox in the same field.
Thanks,
Tom

Thanks in advance... I have a continuous style form with a field for
each record called "STATUS". I simply want to have the form load and
if the value of the textbox is "Inactive" I want the textbox
background to display yellow, else I want it to be just white. Here's
my code... but it is not working
Private Sub Form_Load()
If Me!STATUS = "Inactive" Then
Me!STATUS.BackColor = RGB(255, 255, 0)
Else

Hi There,
I'm currently in a mild state of confusion about the Conditional
Attribute. The code below is taken from the implementation of "Design
By Contract" that I've put in somewhere in my project. As you might
expect the code outputs "DBC_CHECK_ALL is defined" when
Check.Require(...) is called and the project is compiled with DEBUG
settings.
#define DBC_CHECK_ALL

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
