hi all,
I am trying to create a dts package to transfer data from tables in my
sql server 2000 database to a db2 UDB v8.1.4 database. When I use ibm
db2 oledb driver for the destination this works fine except that rows
are committed on a row by row basis thus performance is slow. I want
to use the odbc driver but when I define it as the destination, i get
errors saying that the maximum number of rows failed has exceeded the
minimum.

Hi all,
I've seen this noted in many posts, but nothing I've checked out gives
me any clue on how to do this.
Basically as my topic says, I have a DTS and I simply need to export
some data from a table in MS SQL 2000 to an Excel spreadsheet. I also
need to automate this process so it can run nightly and each new day a
new spreadsheet will be on a network share for us to pick-up.

I have a vbscript to read all files from a directory and, if the file
is valid, I would like my DTS to process it. I tried using the
vbscript as an ActiveX workflow script in the DTS, but it does not
execute the data pump until it has completed looping through all the
files, so only the last file read is sucked into the database
(utilizing a global variable as the filename). Is there a way to
execute the data pump task from within the...

I have inherited a bunch of dbs which are are shared among a small group in
my dept. We typically use the dbs to write queries to extract data, usually
dumping it into Excel. Most dbs originated in MsAccess 97 or prior and have
been converted to 2003. On occassion user 1 will open a db. When user 2
opens the db it will not let user 2 modify macros and what not. I can
understand this and realize we could split the db; it is not worth ...

I have developed a decoding tool by using MFC (Dialog based) in VS
.NET 2003. The program actually works, but it “hangs” during the
actual decoding. When finished the window comes back again. As the
actual decoding of my file could take up to 5 minutes, this is of
course quite annoying. During the decoding the CPU is more or less
parked at 100%. How can this be avoided? Is it possible in a not too
complex way to have some watchdogs...

I am use to programming in php and the way session and post vars are past
from fields on one page through to the post page automatically where I can
get to their values easily to write to a database or continue to process on
to the next page.
I am now trying to learn ASP to see if we can replace some of our
applications that were written in php with an ASP alternative. However,
after doing many searches on google and reading a couple...

Hi,
I am trying to set up a DTS Package to transfer data from a remote
MySQL server to a local MS SQL database. The source tables will remain
static as will the destination however I only want to copy down data
that does not already exist in the local database.
I have two different methods of which to identify the new rows, on some
tables it is by a unique ID thus in TSQL I would say WHERE ID x.
Other tables are by date where I would...

Not sure this is the right area, but I'm trying to edit a pre-existing SQL query in HTMLDB (Application Express) in Oracle.
Here's the current query that is returning a list of pages from a wiki log (that's been ingested into a table), telling the number of times it's been edited, the page that's been edited, when it was last edited, and who did it.
---------------
select count(a.page) numedits, a.page, b.last_edit, c.case_id

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
