I want to save some sensitive data (passwords, PIN numbers, etc.) to
disk in a secure manner in one of my programs. What is the
easiest/best way to accomplish strong file encryption in Python? Any
modern block cipher will do: AES, Blowfish, etc. I'm not looking for
public key stuff; I just want to provide a pass-phrase.
I found a few modules out there, but they seem to be all but abandoned.
Most seem to have died several years ago. ...

Hi all.
I'm trying to set a cookie expiry date but my script is JS (JavaScript). I've
tried
Response.Cookies("Test").Expires = Date();
Response.Cookies("Test").Expires = Date().toLocaleString();
Response.Cookies("Test").Expires = Date().toString();
Response.Cookies("Test").Expires = Date().toUTCString();

Hello. I am trying for the first time to use SSL. I sent to the web
server and set directory security to 'Require SSL' and 'Require
Certificates'. This seems to work, but I was a bit surprised that it
did not seem to slow down access, since I am moving quite a lot of
data at times. So I decided to look at the data using network monitor
on the server.
All looked ok, I could see the web server receive a request from the
client, and see...

I have two cells on a form. One of them is the "Production Date" and the
other is the "Expiry Date". The "Expiry Date" is 183 days after the
"Production Date."
On an Excel spreadsheet, the "Expiry Date" is automatically entered, when
the "Production Date" is entered. To do this the "Expiry Date" cell carries
the following formula: "=A15+183".
I would like to be able to do the same on an Access Form, with the results
written to the...

I am working on using DPAPI user profile store to encrypt a connection
string in web.config file, using VB.NET

be Administrator dependent, and I would like to load a user profile I
have created for encryption & decryption directly. In other words I want
to load the user profile without having have administrator privileges.
I’m using VB.NET, & would like to deviate...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
