Folks,
I need to move HOME directory of an instance to another directory.
What is the best way of doing it?
Is changing password file enough? or dies DB2 store this info in it's own
config?
I am running UDB 8.2 on Linux and AIX.
Thanks.

Im looking in to the possibility of moving from mySQL to
an access database.
My reasons are:
(1) Database is single user.
(2) Database local on users PC.
(3) Database has only 8 tables where 4 are filled at database creation
with aprox 20 rows each and are never added to after that.
(4) Database grows with ca 6000 rows/week.
(5) No data is ever deleted, exept... (6)

Help!
I have a MS Access database made up of a single table. The data updates for
this database comes in the form of a single Excel spreadsheet, which is
imported into the database table.
I need to break-out this single database table, into multiple tables to
better structure the database and reduce the need to input the same data
repeatedly.

Hi everyone,
I have a small problem regarding a wizard that I'm making on my website.
The wizard is obviously a series of pages that take values from the user. My
question is:
- Should I store all the values entered until the last page and then update
the database, or should I do it as I go.

I'm having trouble updating individual datagrid cells.
Have two tables car_master (columns include Car_ID, YEAR,VEHICLE) and
car_detail (columns include Car_ID,PRICE,MILEAGE,and BODY);both tables have a
FK relationship on CAR_ID
so the oracledataadapter1 select statement(CommandText) is:
select car_master.car_id,
car_master.year,car_master.vehicle,car_detail.car_id AS EXPR1,

In an application I am writing the user can define a series of
steps to be followed. I save them in a sql database using the
field "order" (a smallint) as the primary key.
(there are in the range of 20 steps)
On the admin page the steps are listed, in "order" order and the
user can create new steps and assign an order and all is well.
The problem may come in using a renumber function which should
take the steps in their current order...

I want to animate one object moving in front of another. I cannot re-render
the background as the object moves, as it would be extremely time consuming.
This is what I would like to do. I draw the background to a Graphics object,
copy it, draw the front object on the original, render it to the screen,
then reload the copy (Clone?) of the background for the next loop.
I couldn't find any way of doing this directly, and if there is I...

I have an old database which started out life in the Access 2 days!
It's full of lots of stuff which I'm not convinced is relevant any
longer. Would a good way forward be to create a new, blank database in
Access 2007 and then import the existing objects, re-create the
relationships etc? That way I can just bring in the stuff that's
currently in use and, hopefully, have a better chance of avoiding
database corruption. The alternative, I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
