SQL 2005 Job Type subsystem is missing

1 New Member
I've recently upgraded from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 and installed the latest service pack for SQL 2005.

The issue I'm having is that I created a simple package to move data from a flat file to a SQL table. I've also imported the package into the File System, and it runs fine. I would like to schedule this package as a job.

I created a new job and added a step (i.e. "Step1"). I clicked the Type dropdown looking for the subsystem "SQL Server Integration Service Package", but it isnt' there.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to where I can enable or install this subsystem? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently planning disk layouts and use for a new version of our database. The current version has all data and indexes in the default filegroup, placed on one big raid-5 array(6 drives) along with the transaction log. Performance is not the best, as you may imagine... Next week we will add another 14 drives and organize them in different combos of raid-10 and raid-1, and then create several filegroups and place tables and index data...

I'm getting this, after upgrading from 2000 to 2005. Replication-Replication Distribution Subsystem: agent (null) failed. The subscription to publication '(null)' has expired or does not exist. The only suggestions I've seen are to dump all subscriptions. Since we have several dozen publications to several servers, is there a decent way to script it all out, if that's the only suggestion?

I need to execute a job on a SQL Express 2005 instance (no SQLAgent). The job will be executed manually by a user, so it doesn't need to be scheduled to run automatically. I thought I could execute the job through a stored procedure, but it appears that SQL Agent is necessary even for that. The job was given to me by a software vendor to add EDI capabilities to an accounting package, but the assumption was made that a full version of...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
