Is it possible in a single query to search up to 12 tables for a similar text string and count the number each time a duplicate is found?
I have a table for each month with a string field that contains a referer string.
table = stats_2007_01
table = stats_2007_02
table = stats_2007_03 and so on....
field = [referer] string (200)
I can query a single table and return the result i expect with this statement
SELECT COUNT(referer) AS refcount, referer
FROM stats_2007_03
GROUP BY referer
the results i get for this one table are
refcount referer
11 http://abc.com
21 httP://123.com
34 and so on.....
I would like to run this query against all 12 tables and show the same 3 records but with the refcount counting matches found in the other tables too..
I have tried left outer joins, union all, inner joins, but just cant seem to find the solution.
I feel it may not be possible and I may need to sort the result recordset using vbscript before outputing to screen..
If anyone can help, please let me know!...
Many thanks in advance.
I am running MS SQL 7, Active server pages, W2K3 server.

Try this:
SELECT COUNT(referer) AS refcount, referer
FROM (Select referer from stats_2007_01
UNION
Select referer from stats_2007_02
UNION
Select referer from stats_2007_03
UNION
and so on... ) a
GROUP BY referer
Hi,
I have the following problem:
We have an Oracle 9.2 with one table "document" which contains a path
to the filesystem. If I want to index these files (HTML, PDF, World,
Excel, etc.), I have to use the datastore type "FILE_DATASTORE".
Another table "lng_text" stores the titles and descriptions for
multiple languages for each row in table "document".

Does anyone know how to use VBA to relink tables between two MS Access
databases? We have two databases, one with VBA code and the other with
data tables. The tables are referenced by linked tables in the database
where the code resides. If we move the database with the data tables to
a new directory, the links are no longer valid.
I tried to update the links by changing the Connect property and refreshing:
Set td = db.TableDefs(0)...

Hi All,
I've got a situation where I am developing an Access 97 app for a client,
and am in the "beta testing" stage.
I have split the app up, using the DB splitter, into front-end /back-end
for the usual reason ... so I can mess with form/report revisions. Since
splitting, I've had issues with re-linking the tables ... as it relates to
the completetely different "My Documents"
data paths on several different Win98 / Win XP computers.

Hello there,
I have a front end database that I have recently made very many changes
to to allow off-line use. I keep copies of the databases on my hard
drive and link to them rather than the live databases on the network.
Is there a way, via code, when I get back in-house from being on the
road to click a button, and select the backends I want to link to?
I would want to delete all the current links and link to the "live"

it looks like this will save many versions of a relationship window,
but based on the fact that the same tables are displayed in the
relationship window
and it will restore versions of what was saved as long as all the
tables that were saved are currently shown in the relationship window
so if I have 2 tables, employee and customer
and if I show just the employee table in the relationship window, I can
save it as 'employee'

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
