Hi,
I alredy tried to search this problem in last posts, but I couldn't
find the answer.
I try to access via Extended SP the method in a dll.
I registered the dll as a ExSP, with a name of method. But after
calling it in T-SQL, I became such a error message:

Since DBlib is no longer the suggested method for connecting back to
sql server from an Extended Stored Procedure, has anyone built any
extended stored procedures that use other connection methods like
OLEDB? Has anyone seen links to any sample extended stored procedures
that use something other than db-lib? In particular I am interested
in something that connects back to the database as the user who
invoked the extended stored...

What is the overhead of using extended stored procedures?
I created a table with 500,000 rows.
1) I ran a select on two columns and it runs in about 5 seconds.
2) I ran a select on one column and called an UDF (it returns a
constant string) and it takes 10 seconds.
3) I ran a select on one column and called a UDF that calls an extended
stored procedure that returns a string and it takes 65 seconds.
I also tried running test 3 with 4...

Here is what I would like to be able to do,
Have an SQL extended stored procedure to do file copy, delete, and
rename(move) procedures.
I have written the code in C# to do this, in the form of a simple app,
and it contains all of the functionality, error handling, etc. that I need.
I would like to use the extended stored procedure framework from visual
studio, but I am unsure how to merge these two together.
I do "not" want to make a dll,...

A *lot* of our teams code is being deleted from the
InitializeComponent() section of a winform, such as Grid settings,
event handler hooks, layout settings etc. This mainly seems to
happen to 3rd party controls such as Infragistics grids and menu bars
and toolbars, but it also happens on native .net tools.
I know you're thinking that I modified that procedure, but that's not
the case, the designer generates it wholly, i don't even move...

Hi. I have some functionality in a C# DLL that I would like to be able
to call from inside SQLServer. I know this was possible in C++, using
an Extended Stored Procedure, but I haven't been able to find a similar
process for C#. Does anyone know if such an animal exists?
I believe I could call the C# routines from within a C++ extended
stored procedure wrapper, but I stink as a C++ programmer (pointers?
what?) and don't want to learn C++...

hi,
I have created my own dll file that I would like to use in sql 2000 as an
extended stored procedure. I have checked the dll is written correctly (I can
use it in other application). The dll file is created in C# (Visual Studio
2005).
Unfortunatelly I cannot use it in sql as the extended procedure. I am
getting error: Cannot find the function <<f_name>in the library
<<path\library.dll>>. Reason: 127(error not found).

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
