I have a stored procedure using Convert where the exact same Convert
string works in the SELECT portion of the procedure but fails in the
WHERE portion.
The entire SP is listed below.

I have received a table of data that has a field containing date
information. Unfortunately it was derived from a MainFrame dump and
originated as a txt file and was then ported into an Access MDB file
before it became an SQL table. The date format is vchar(50) and

Using the the NumId from TitleData, I would like to delete the
corresponding row in Bookdata using pure SQL. I want it to delete all
rows in bookdata where the Titledata.NumID is a match to bookdata.id
The two tables are linked in that the NumId of table Titledata is
identical to the Id of table bookdata. I can, using ADO, loop thru
deleting one by one but I would like to do this in a pure SQL

I'm working on an ASP.NET 2.0 application in Visual Studio 2005 that
accesses a Sybase database back end. We're using Sybase SQL Anywhere
9.0.2.3228. I have installed and registered the Sybase .NET 2.0

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
