Could someone help me by answering the questions below?
What's a cursor?
What's difference between Query and View?
Is a RecordSet just part of a table? Can it be part of a query of view?
If the content in a table changed, is it necessary for a old recordset to
renew itself by do "Requery()"?
Thanks for your help!

Guys
I have built a database with saved queries that runs fine in Access
but when I call it from the web using ASP, an exception occurs. I
have tried multiple ways of testing the databases with the following
results. www.brinkster.com has a tool on their free asp hosting where
you can dump an access .mdb database on there and then run SQL...

I have a select query that has a WHERE clause that changes depending
on the button that a user presses to search.
this is the code that executes everytime one of 3 different search
buttons are pressed. Depending on the particular button, the query
grabs the info from a different control on a form. This works fine
for a single user, but...

I have a table that contains the database names of external databases.
Each one of these external databases contain a table (which has the
same structure) that I would like to query together as one list.
For example, say each external db has a table of names.
tbNames (external db structure)
-------
name as text
- example db1.mdb

Hi All,
I'm having a problem with some VBA code in one of my Access 2003
databases. I'm getting the following error when running code behind a
command button on a form: "Item not found in this collection".
I suspect it has something to do with parameters in the query I'm
calling. I need to pass an object on the form to a parameter in the...

I am relatively new to ADO, but up to now I got things working the way
I wanted. But now I've run into somethng really annoying.
I am working in MS Access. I am using an Access frontend separately

frontend database.
In the frontend there is a Form with a...

Hello,
I have hit the "Cannot open any more databases" and "System resource
exceeded" errors. Knew this was coming, but as I got closer to finishing the
database, I hoped it wouldn't be an issue.
My DB consists of hundreds of unique pieces of information (in atomic tables
of course). However, I have many multiple queries that are...

proceed. My biggest problem is how to connect to the database on

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
