Help with Crystal Reports subselect

I am trying to write a database query in an old version of Crystal Reports (7.0) that finds all of the accounts with multiple late fees and then prints out the details of those lines. I have the SQL to run it directly on the database (Ingres in this case), but when I try to put the code into Crystal, it truncated off the group by and having clauses of my subselect.

So I start with this:

SELECT
    bi_acct_code, bi_ref_numb1, bi_inst_code, bi_tran_date, bi_line_totl
FROM
    bittranlines 
WHERE
    bi_tran_type = '6' AND
    bi_sinv_code = 'lfee' AND
    bi_part_aloc = 0 AND
    bi_acct_code + bi_inst_code in 
     (select bi_acct_code + bi_inst_code from bittranlines
         where bi_sinv_code = 'lfee' and bi_tran_type = '6' 
        group by bittranlines.bi_acct_code, bittranlines.bi_inst_code 
        having count(*) > 1) 
ORDER BY bi_acct_code, bi_inst_code, bi_tran_date
 

But after I leave the query editor and go back to look at it, it removes the group by and having lines from the subselect, along with the last single quote after the 6. It still has the Order by clause. Anyone have any ideas on how not to lose the group by and having clauses? Or another way of writing the query to work within Crystal Reports?
