Hello there,
I'm trying to create a connection with an IMAP server which is secured
through SSL. I can get the connection just fine, and I get a first respone
from the server. But then I send out my login string, and it does not seem
to arrive at the server, because I don't get an answer returned! After some
time, I receive a message from the server saying that I've been idle for too
long, and then the connection gets closed..
But why...

I have a database in Access 2003 (Access2000 file format). There are
two tables that are being used: Employees and Items. It is linked by
the Employee field so that one employee can have many items.
I have a VB6 application that is tied into this database using an
ADODB.Connection and uses two ADODB.Recordsets: rsEmployees and rsItems.
I can pull data from the DB into the app with both recordsets. But I
can only change data in rsItems...

I'm having trouble with my security model, Application_Start, and accessing
my database.
My ASP.NET app is only going to be running in an intranet environment (not
on the public Internet). The production environment will have installed
everything locally (i.e., IIS, SQL Server, .NET Framework, etc., all on a
Win2k Server).

Through PHP, I have already set up my Flash actionscript to pass info and variables onto a MySQL database that is functionable in retrieving user info (name, email, subject, and comments). Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
