SQL troubles with VPN connection

We have an application that connects to a remote site's SQL server using a
VPN client. It also uses a local MS SQL database located on one of our
servers. It seems once the VPN connection is established the client machine
is always looking to the remote VPN connection/server for it's data. I
tested this out by going into the ODBC applet and doing a "TEST CONNECTION"
with the VPN client closed. The response was immediate and the connection
worked. Once I established the Internet VPN connection the connection
repeatedly failed after a several seconds while it appeared to be looking on
the Internet for a local server.

What can we do to fix this problem.

Thanks,

It sounds as if you have "Use default gateway on remote network" checked
for the VPN connection.

To investigate this, open the Properties for the network connection,
select the Networking tab. Select TCP/IP, and then Properties. Open
the Advanced button.

Hello there, I'm trying to create a connection with an IMAP server which is secured through SSL. I can get the connection just fine, and I get a first respone from the server. But then I send out my login string, and it does not seem to arrive at the server, because I don't get an answer returned! After some time, I receive a message from the server saying that I've been idle for too long, and then the connection gets closed.. But why...

I can pull data from the DB into the app with both recordsets. But I can only change data in rsItems...

The production environment will have installed everything locally (i.e., IIS, SQL Server, .NET Framework, etc., all on a Win2k Server).

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
