According to MS Knowledge Base Article 269824, " ... must be installed ... on any computer on which someone may make
design changes in an Access project to a SQL Server 2000 database".
This is the situation I'm facing. Can I download these Client Tools and
install them for free, or are they only available on the SQL Server 2000
Installation CD?
Thanks for any help!

Hi
I am a web / database developer who wants to learn / practice
developing websites using Active Server Pages and MS SQL 7 or MS SQL

Can anybody tell me if there is an inexpensive way to do this?
I already have experience using Active Server Pages, ADO and MS

I've got MSDE, SQL Server 7.0, installed. I want to handle an .mdf
developed by someone else so I loaded the .mdf into my /DATA folder.
But, MSDE/ODBC can't see the database. I subsequently discovered that
it was created using SQL Server 2000. Is this the reason that my MSDE
7.0 doesn't see the .mdf? If so, how can I use this database with my
7.0? Backup from 2000, restore to 7.0?
Thanks for any help.

First off, sorry if my cross posting offends anyone. I'm posting this
in Access and SQL Server groups - not sure which one is appropriate.
I have a relatively simple ASP.NET/VB.NET application that is now
hitting an Access 2000 database over an intranet. We have to migrate
the database to SQL Server 7. My experience with ASP.NET is pretty
limited and my experience with SQL Server is nonexistent.
We have an MSDN subscription, so I went...

Access. The problem is I want to turn the database into an .mde file,
but my father is using Office 2000. Is there a way to compile the
database so that it will run under Office 2000.

I use Access 2000 which I own as part of Office 2000 Professional. I've had
enough trouble with glitches to ask if these are common occurrences -
1. Sometimes the "Help" system won't start. Sometimes it will. It starts
more often than not. I don't see any
pattern to when it does or doesn't. If the Access "help" won't start,
the Visual Basic "Help" usually won't
start either. This glitch has been going on for...

I’ve been using the code below in Access 97 for years now without any
problems at all. Unfortunately, I now have to convert this db to Access
2000. I tried using the conversion feature and that was a bust. All my
reports, queries and other forms work OK except for this routine. The first
hang-up begins with the “dbOpenSanpshot” – does this exist in 2000?
Also when I type “rstPatient” the “FindFirst” isn’t a method available to me
nor is...

Hello,
Have customized the menu options in Access 2000 in a computer. However,
it seems that the customizations apply only when I'm logged in and not
to other users. Is there any way to use the customizations as a default
for all users of Access on that computer.
Thanks

Hello all,
I'm trying to set up an access 2000 .adp project connecting to a SQL
server 2005 database. I can set up the connection ok, but once I have
completed the setup process, I get the following error messages if I try
to create any new database objects:
If I try to create a new object (a view or table etc), Access tells me

Hi,
I am at a loss here, I have a c# asp.net website which connects to a
remote SQL Server 2000 db via a connection string. If I set the
website up in the filesystem and use the inbuilt cassini webserver in
VS2005 then everything is rosy. If I then set up the website on the
local IIS 5.1 the site no longer connects and returns this error:
An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server.
When connecting to SQL Server...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
