What is the correct sequence of Restoring databases in SQL Server 7.0

I have the back up of master(master_d b.bak),
distribution(di stribution_db.b ak), model(model_db. bak, model_tlog.trn) ,
pubs(pubs_db.ba k), Northwind(North wind_db.bak),ms db(msdb_db.bak) and
compny(compny_d b.bak,compny_db .trn). I have to restore all these
databases. What will be the correct sequence of Restoring these
databases so that I retain all the initial DB settinngs like
Replication, user logins and pwd, security settings and backup plans
etc. I have the database SQL server 7.0

Thanks for your guidance and help in advance.

Regards

I'm trying to rebuild from a meltdown. I'm using disk backup files. I could have sworn that I had SQL Server 2000 SP3 installed on the old machine, but maybe not. With SP3 installed, I get a message along the lines that the restore can't be done because the backup was created using server version 134218262 and this server is version 134218488. I've searched the documentation and can't find any reference to those version numbers.

I use the --all-databases switch to backup my entire database. Sometimes there's a need to restore individual databases or tables form the backup file. What command should I use for this? Thanks, Raffi

Hello, Every so often, I'm asked to help people recover data from tables that were either dropped or where to much data was DELETEed. The complications related to restoring data are a problem. The SAS users are laughing because they can (to a certain extend) easily go back to an earlier SAS table by simply starting dsm. Of course, a flat file table is different than a relational table; but still, the trouble related to restoring DB2...

Hello, Server configuration: Windows 2003 Server SP2 SQL Server 2000 SP4 ..NET v2.0.50727 just built up a new server using the same configuration as my current one. I even used the same CDs and registration keys, so I'm certain that the two machines are as similar as they can be.

I'm working on a restore procedure for the case where all MDF files are missing, but the LDF files are all intact. A full backup is done every 24 hours, and a log backup is done every 3 hours. After restoring the last full + log backups, is it at all possible to use the LDF files to recover data from that point up to a newer point in time? I've found a post which explains how to do this on SQL Server 2000...

I have inherited a SQLS erver 2000 instance where the client never implemented a backup startegy for the "master" and "msdb" databases. MSDB is now showing errors and my only option for a restore is from a tape backup of the server. Any thoughts..

Hello. Occasionally on my production server when I run an automated script to restore a database from a backup it hangs and the database is put in restoring mode and just stays there, requiring me to delete the database and restore the backup manually and causing everything else to timeout (it's part of an update process that includes database and web files). The code is called from a VB.Net DLL against the Master database and is as...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
