SQL and Terminal on 2 different PC's

In the past I have had SQL and Terminal server on the same PC.

With SQL and Windows 2003 Terminal server, you can not have them on the
same PC.
How can I make this work with SQL and Terminal and 2 different PC's? I
have 30 users that need to log on to my SQL database.

He's using the Terminal Services, not remote desktop. i.e. having 30 users
all have their own "desktop" at a time.

Not sure why he needs to do that on the SQL Server. They should all be able
to log on remotely (i.e. using Query Analyzer, etc.)

Hi

I have always been confused by the Remote Desktop/Terminal Services
terminology, but I believe I am using Remote Desktop as a Terminal Services
Client. Having more than two users connected requires a full licenced copy
of Terminal Services to be installed, which I have also had working.

If the OP (shawn) wishes to use Terminal Services as a Application Server he
would be advised to use a separate machine to host as the Terminal Services
Server, although I am not sure with the number of users he is serving that
this would be the most cost effective solution even if he is saving on
licences elsewhere.

I've an Access '97 application that works fine on Clients (or Terminal Server) with 128 - 1 GB of RAM. If the PC has more than 1 GB of RAM there's some problems: Unexpectly appears an error message ("Server OLE not registered") and the application quits. Searching on the web I've find this: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q161255

Hi all, I am involved in a project where a client needs a new database over a wan (30 or more locations). The client is a health-care organisation that 'services' mentally disordered people. They use Win2003 Server at the moment. All the client PC's are Win2000 or Win XP. At this moment there are two different approaches/ideas considered. -- to develop an ASP-web application. (not by me) -- to develop an Access97-TerminalServer...

Hi peoples, I dont know where to place this question, so as I know you guys are all resourceful experts, I thought I would try here. I am writing some code which will be run usingh remote desktop ( On windows 2003 Server ), I need to determine in the code the machine name and username. If I use GetUsername and GetMachineName, it simply gives me the name of the currently logged on user ( at the Server ) and the Servers Machine Name.

I have an in-house VB.NET 2.0 application that uses Crystal Reports for ..NET 2005 - CR10?). A few users access the program via a Wyse dumb-terminal via Citrix. For some reason that I've not been able to trace, these users are not able to view any of the reports. The same is also true if I attempt to view the reports while running the program over a Remote Desktop/Terminal Services connection. The exception noted is...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
