Hi,
I building a little site using PHP and mysql. Now I want to make full
text searches on some columns in one table. The problem is that I have
25 colums in the table that I want to put at full-text index on. I
belive there is a limitation of 14(?) colums. What is the proper way
to handle this?
Reading about full-text indexes, do I have to make a "repair table..."
after each time I insert data in the table the will be included in the

I have a very complex sql query and a explain plan. I found there is a
full table scan in ID=9
9 8 TABLE ACCESS (FULL) OF 'F_LOTTXNHIST'
(Cost=84573 Card=185892 Bytes=7063896)
How can I correlate which part of the SQL statement is running on full

I want to search Japanese characters with Full Text search function. I
created a table (tbSearch) for Full-text search on SQL 2000, English
Win2k Server. The table contains 4 fields, which are ID -- int,
primary key, identity; PageName -- nvarchar; Contents -- ntext;

The facts:
PostgreSQL 7.4.0 running on BSD 5.1 on Dell 2650 with 4GB RAM, 5 SCSI
drives in hardware RAID 0 configuration. Database size with indexes is
currently 122GB. DB size before we completed the vacuum full was 150GB.
We have recently done a major update to a table, f_pageviews, in our
data warehouse. The f_pageviews table contains about 118 million rows.

We are developing an application against an MS SQL Server 2000 database
which requires that we implement full-text searching across columns in
multiple tables. The research that we have conducted seems to indicate
that this is not directly possible within SQL Server 2000. And we can
find no way to implement this as the catalogs that are generated are
table specific.

Dear all,
I'm using MS SQL Server 2005 and i have a full-text search issue;
Let's say i have table1, table2 and table 3; for each, some full-text
indices have been created.
The issue is that i created a view which joined the three tables and i
attempted to perform a full-text search on that view, but that resulted
in an error indicating that a "unique column" is required for that
view.

In mySQL should any required non-clusterd indexes be built before or
after a full-text index? Either on the same column or different
columns...

I am trying to perform the following query on a table that has been
indexed using Full Text Search.
The table contains multiple columns than have been indexed. (Below,
