I have two SQL Server 2000 machines (server_A and server_B). I've
used sp_addlinkedserver to link them both, the link seems to behave
fine. I can execute remote queries and do all types of neat things
from one while logged onto the other.
I'm working on a project to keep the data in the two systems
synchronized, so I'm using triggers on both sides to update each
other. For testing, I've created a simple, one-column table on both...

Hi,
I'm spend many hour to fix this problem, read many articles about it but no
article gave a solution.
To isolate the problem I've created in IIS6 (WServer2003) a virtual
directory test to the local C:\test, in this directory I have index.htm and
test.asp (just a simple Response.Write "TEST").
Opening the server/test/index.htm show the page, server/test/test.asp gives

Hi,
I've knocked up a number of small routines to create and manipulate a linked
list of any structure. If anyone could take a look at this code and give me
their opinion and details of any potential pitfalls I'd be extremely
grateful.
Cheers

I just started to develop an ASP.NET application in vs.net 2003 . But each
time I try to execute the application (which is basically empty so far), I
get a dialog box titled "Microsoft Development Environment" with this
message:
"Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web
server. Server-side error occurred on sending debug HTTP request.
Make sure the server is operating correctly. Verify there are no...

Hi
We're trying to use call a stored procedure to update information in a
remote Ingres database. We've linked the server, and can read
information using SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY (..........), but we can't
find a suitable syntax for executing a procedure.
Using SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY and passing the EXEC statement in a
string gives a message about not returning any columns - not surprising
as there aren't any, and trying to execute...

I have a split front end/back end system. However I create a number of
local tables to carry out certain operations. There is a tendency for
the front end to bloat so I have set 'compact on close'
I think that I have read in some threads (althoug I cannot find them
now) that others place such tables in a local, linked database. I
could do this but I am interested to know what would be the advantages.
And disadvantages, if any.
Any...

Hello,
I am running WS2008 + IIS7 + FASTCGI + ZendCore.
I have not modified the default ZendCore php.ini configuration file.
Actualy, any kind of PHP error, warning or notice gives me immediately
a IIS 500 Error (Internal Server Error).
It is a good thing in production environnement.
For debuging purposes, I want temporary to be able to see PHP warnings
and errors embedded on the html page.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
