Hi, I have a question on file writing. I am not very experienced in
Java programming. My hobby right now is to write an applet where 2
persons could play Go together (it is a board game). The offline
interface is done but I was wondering how to send information between
the two players. Since I am not very experienced in Java and I am just
a hobby programmer, I found that programming a port listening
interface was too difficult. My idea was...

There's a website I like to visit that has an user-interactive java
application. There's a "visual applet" component and "control applet"
component. (No, it's not an adult or porno site.)
But the application isn't always usable because one or both of the
applets have "failed," and has to be reset or something like that.
I don't get it. How the hell does an applet "fail"?
It's a set of instructions in code, right? It doesn't...

Hi,
I am having an issue with SQL server that slows everything to a crawl,
and makes almost any query impossible to complete.
Here are the symptoms:
I stop SQL, I start SQL. The task manager shows SQL starting up and
quickly allocates 50 MB of memory. I then open SQL Manager and I can
open up the instance of SQL Server and I expand to see all of the
databases, memory rises to about 70MB allocated. I then expand a

Using MS Access, I have attached to MySQL servers in other states
and other countries on the other side of my router. But when I use the
MySQL ODBC driver 3.51 to connect to a MySQL server on my own LAN,
the driver tells me it cannot make the connection. Here are the ODBC
driver connection parms:
Data Source Name: (free field - name my "my linux box" will do nicely)
Host/Server Name (or IP) - something like MSQLUserName@ServerName.net...

They are corrupt. I cannot get the odbc driver applet for sql server
to open when I click add and I cannot configure any existing ones. And
the usage of the drivers fail.
Other ODBC drivers work.
Does anyone know how to reinstall the SQL Server set of ODBC drivers?
MDAC wouldn't install, said it was already at current level.
Thanks for any ideas.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
