Why xp_sendmail Doesn't Work With Hotmail?

Using the Query Analyzer, I issued the statement "EXEC xp_sendmail
'a*****@hotmail .com, 'Test.'" and received 'email sent' confirmation.
But, my email was never received.

I used the same statement to send mail to a Yahoo account and it was
received.

Is there a way to be able to send email using SQL xp_sendmail to a
Hotmail account?

Thank you very much

mike

I would guess that your mail fell victim to some filter on Hotmail.

The problem is in any case not likely to be with xp_sendmail, but
somewhere further along the line.

I can execute this SQL from Query Analyzer...
