Can't speak for the whole world, but in our CS department, we had a variety of subjects available to us. The It specific ones (that is, the ones not from various Math Departments) included:
Computer Science
Scientific Computing
Data Structures and Algorithms (I'd be surprised if something like this didn't exist s/where)
Computer Systems
Database and Information Systems
Artificial Intelligence
Knowledge Representation
Computer applications
Introduction to Software Engineering
Numerical Methods
Computer Networks (and Application)
Software Engineering (and Project)
Compiler Construction (and Project)
Systems Analysis (and Project)
Operating Systems
Computer Architecture
Programming Paradigms
Advanced Programming Paradigms

And probably others that I have forgotten......

I am a 3rd year computer science major at Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada. Here is a link to the course map of my program. Basically a broad variety of everything and anything.

NOTE: they recently changed the name to Computer Systems Technology - Software Development and Network Engineering (Co-op option). It's still Comp Sci though.

The approximately 100 books below are for sale. Mostly a selection of mathematics (numerical analysis mostly), computing science (graphics, ai, programming techniques, theory, compilers, operating systems, Unix, languages (C, C++, Smalltalk, Java, Pascal, Modula etc.), and a sprinkling of others (e.g. surviving as a consultant, writing resumes, and so on). Most are either new or in as-new condition. Some older ones have begun to attract...

I would like to have some information about the reputation, campus life and job opportunities of these two universities. Among of these two universities, which is regarded most distinguished in the UK and especially in the area of CS and which would lead to a better academic career? I am also interested about the cost of life, in Bristol and in London and which of these cities is more beautiful? I welcome everyone who studies or lives...

I am really struggling with my programming classes. Its hard to describe...I can understand small scale programs, but when it comes to designing an application like itunes(just as an example) I'm lost. If someone came up to me and said I want you to design...

Cyber-curricula have a leveling aspect, as kids nearer Katrina's epicenter tune in and bliss out on 'Warriors of the Net' (why wait for stupid big dummy textbooks to catch up?). They feel more empowered by Python and Ubuntu than by any King's English I'd warrant, given how the latter has been dumbed down (slowed, degraded) by unimaginative bankers who can't fathom open source and its math-teaching significance to our digitally savvy...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
