Hello everyone.
Q. How do I create a dynamically-generated drop-down list for use in
an array.
I'm using PHP with a MySQL database (through phpMyAdmin)
My database table is called com_courses, and I want to pull the
distinct 'title' fields and have them appear as a drop down menu for
the user to select in a form.

Can anyone out there give me a pointer regarding creating a
dynamically-generated drop-down list connected to an array?
And is that question as clear as chocolate spread?
Here's what I've got. I'm using PHP and MySQL database. I'm customizing
some calendar software, and I want the user to fill in a form by
selecting a title from a drop-down list, generated by my MySQL
database. However, the program I'm customizing uses arrays, which is...

Hi,
I have 2 drop down lists on an asp.Net page. The 1st contains alphabets.
When the user selects an alphabet frm the first list, the second drop down
list should be populated with names from the sql database, which begin with
that alphabet.
For this I used an sql data Adapter & created a data set. The user's
selection in 1st list is passed as parameter to the sql statement.

I hope this is the right group. I am very new to ASP so this is
probably a stupid question. I have some vbscript that query's AD and
populates a recordset. I know the recorset contains the information I
want by doing a Response.write. I am having problems dynamically
creating a drop down list from the data in the recordset. The drop down
is created but it is empty. Any help would be greatly appreciated. A
sample of the code:
<%

I have two lists, one above the other, and they are BOTH populated
using vbscript and sql queries.
what I want to happen is when they select something in the top list
(departments) it refreshes the selections available in the bottom list
(individuals)
so in this case, if they select "IT"
then the bottom list will update itself to show only:
"me"

Dear Sir,
I have a field in database which stores multiple records, each record is separated by "," and when I populate a drop down list with these records , it displays all records in one line.
How can I display each record in 1 line, and the next record in second line and so on?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
