Hi all,
I notice that the Form_Dirty event does not fire in Access 2002 (SP-1) when
the first character is typed into a new record. In previous versions of
Access it does fire.
For existing records that are being edited, the event does fire.
Has this (previous) behaviour been changed by Microsoft?

upsized an MDB to ADP/SQL Server 2000 under Access 2000. All the DAO code
that I've changed to ADO code is working fine, HOWEVER the form Record
Source itself does not seem willing to return data. I've set the Record
Source to both the query, and the SQL contained within the query, and
although the system pauses long enough to have gone out and retrieved the
data, I can't see it. The form itself remains gray. In addition:

I have been working with an A97 database that performs a data processing
function. It imports data from a flat text file then uses a dao transaction
that executes a number of sql statements (about 30 in all) to append to
various tables, delete records, copy from table A to table B etc, ultimately
downloading to a series of text files that contain 'processed data'.
The issue is that on the odd occasion (this process is executed every...

Hi,
I am stuck with a problem in MS Access which does not occur in SQL
Server and I have been banging my head against the wall for a couple of
days now trying to resolve it. Namely, when I execute the following
query in Access not all records that fit the condition are returned,
and when I run this same query in SQL Server all the records I want are
retrieved.
The query is:

The MySQL table is located in a Linux Server OS, so I need the
information from that table for updating Paradox tables in Windows OS.
If a PHP program in the Linux Server can save a file with the
information I need, can I make a PHP program in Windows OS to get the
saved file or even better, to access the table in the Linus Server OS?
Do I have another options?
Thank you very much in advance
Best Regards

Hi
I am using Access 2003 mdb as a front end to an application which uses
SQL Server 2000 as the backend. The two are connected using ODBC.
On one particular table (the Stock table), I have a simple form which
updates stock. When the user presses the delete key, he gets the usual
warning about not being able to undo this command, and the record
disappears from the screen. However, on some records, when he goes
back into the form, the...

Microsoft Access 2007.
Background: I have a query that received work orders from out client system and runs them through access. Once in Access, an employee goes through the query output and organizes the records (mentally) by product_code. There can be be 1 or more records of a certain product_code and there are 129 total different product_codes. Say, a typical time the employee runs this query they might see 25 different records consisting...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
