How to check remote server crash/hang/freeze/BSOD using wmi class?

1 New Member
Hi, how to check remote server crash/hang/freeze/BSOD using wmi class?
One method came to mind is to check the CPU state of the remote server.
Any approach/ideas? Please kindly share which sub-class to be used.

Currently we have a site that allows users to listen to mp3 files. It is creating bandwidth issues. So we want to move the mp3 files to an ISP that caps bandwidth usage. Ours is currently burstable. Now I am able to do the following: Set fs = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") If fs.fileExists(music_file) Then 'show music file Else 'do not show a link for file

Hi all, We have an application through which we are bulk inserting rows into a view. The definition of the view is such that it selects columns from a table on a remote server. I have added the servers using sp_addlinkedserver on both database servers. When I call the Commit API of oledb I get the following error: Error state: 1, Severity: 19, Server: TST-PROC22, Line#: 1, msg:

Hi all, I'm attempting to create a console app similar to Microsoft's MMC that will allow us to create a single user interface, and any apps we create will be accessible as snap-in dlls. I've been able to create the user interface, and some sample dlls as apps and everything seems to work fine as long as I reference the dlls directly. However, I'd like to have the list of application be generated when the user interface loads, so I'm...

I'm setup with a new ISP where we were given an account which we could setup multiple domains. To do this we were given a root directory where we setup a folder for each domain. then we mapped the folders to virtual domains. Then I copied a VS 2003 project (an old front page website that was turned into a VS project for this process) by using the Copy Project menu to its new location in one of these virtual domains. When I surf to the...

I have been struggling with a security issue that occurs under .NET 2.0, but does not occur under .NET 1.1. Essentially I am trying to open up a performance counter on a remote server and monitor its value. In .NET 1.1 this worked fine, however under .NET 2.0 it fails when I am not an administrator on the remote server. To provide a lean demonstration of the issue, I created the following class: ============================

I am trying to start a qsub process on a remote server. This is not via http. This a case where the process is fired from one server that does not run qsubs and needs to go off to a server that runs qsubs. Both servers are on the same network. Here is the problem: initially the process starts and creates logs on the resdent server but then hands it off to a high speed server. The high speed server needs access to the logs but due to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
