Hi,
I have a login page. Where user enters an email and password. Then I;m
checking if user account is active or not. Before a user can login, he needs
to activate his account. If the account is active then Active field is set
to yes (1) otherwise to no (0).
If the user’s account is active then I check whether this is user’s first
visit or not. If it is user’s first visit then I redirect user to
‘newuser.asp’ page...

We've implemented forms authentication with Active Directory. We're slowly
working on converting our Crystal Reports' reports from a VB6 application
into Crystal Reports for .NET in our ASP.NET application. So far, we've got
2 done but we have several more to go.
Anyway, we've discovered something which is pretty irritating for our users.
When they go to any of the Crystal Reports for .NET and view it, they can
see it just fine. ...

We are using forms authentication in our web app and typically query our LDAP
Servers by binding to the user node in the LDAP Tree.
We usually see the following DN used as the DN for each user..
http://serverip:389/cn=login,dc=company,dc=org
*where login is their actual windows login
In Active Directory we are seeing this format...
http://server:389/cn=firstname lastname,dc=company,dc=org

Hello,
I am tiring to create a login screen for our partners through out internet.
I have two options to go but I do not know which one I should go.
I am planning to create a user per partner in our Active Directory and check
active directory once the click login.
Or should I create the users in SQL Server and keep their password in a
table (I do not know how? Can you explain?)

I've searched google intensely on this topic and it seems noone really knows how to approch this.
The goal I don't want clients to give out their usernames and passwords to friends, since the site
relies on subscrption fees.
Sessions ID's are matched between the browser and the server. So a users can login with same
username and password and those sessions are tracked individually.
Some suggest create table fields with the session ID...

Hi all,
I keep getting a bizarre login error, when trying to connect to a SQL Server 2005 database on a local domain to my machine using C#. The Exception returns:
SQLException: Login failed for user 'OURDOMAIN\PC-DAVIDC$'.
Where "OURDOMAIN" is the domain my computer is connected to, and "PC-DAVIDC" is the computer name.
What's weird about this though, is this isn't in the connection string. Nor is it a valid NT account on the Active...

We have public PCs out on the production floor that stay logged in using a
public account.
If someone needs to access sensitive information, we want a login screen to
pull up that authenticates them across Active Directory using their username
and password.
Authenticating the individuals is already done. What we'd like is to be able
to use one of Windows' Login forms like we use their MessageBoxes.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
