Hi,
I want to control 'Scheduled Tasks' in Windows 2003 by python program.
But I couldn't find any Python module about win32 'Scheduled Tasks'.
I could find only Perl module about it. (see http://taskscheduler.sourceforge.net)

Is there any python module about win32 'Scheduled Tasks'?

As far as I know python's threading module models after Java's.
However, I can't find something equivalent to Java's interrupt and
isInterrupted methods, along with InterruptedException.
"somethread.interrupt()" will wake somethread up when it's in
sleeping/waiting state.
Is there any way of doing this with python's thread? I suppose thread
interrupt is a very primitive functionality for stopping a blocked
thread.

Dear sir,
My client asked me to write a small ASP application for them. I have
finished the job, however, I am now having a problem during the delivery.
This application needs to be installed on > 3 servers. My client will do the
installation themselves.
Inside my application, there is a MS SQL database, I bought a component,
this component is used by asp script. To enable schedule, this application

Hi All,
I want to perform the simple task of running an ASP script as a scheduled
job.
Previously I've always either run a .vbs script via windows Scheduler, or
put some logic in my global.asa, both of which have worked fine.
Unfortunately there are technical reasons (too complicated to go into here)
which mean I can't use either the global.asa or a standalone vbs script for

I have an ActiveX Script task in a DTS package which executes fine
within DTS.
However, if I run it as a sheduled job, it fails with a 'path not
found error'. I've cut the code down to the approriate problem and
posted it here, it just makes a simple text file with a name derived
from the current date and time and puts 'Hello World' in the file
although in reality I go on to make an xml file. (make sure your path
exists before you execute...

Dear All,
How can I pop up the windows task scheduler inside of my .net application?
Such as I have a button called Schedule Now, after clicking it, the Add
Scheduled Task window will pop up, just like clicking from Control Panel ->
Scheduled Task -> Add Scheduled Task. Appreciate ahead for any of your
suggestions. Thanks.

Hi:
I am looking for any ideas/comments/suggestions on how a Windows
Service kind of functionality can be acheived from a web application
which which will run under IIS or for that matter any application
server say Tomcat. I have a Windows service which should run every half
hour and call four different methods in a Web Service in serial mode.
The methods will have to wait for the previous one to finish and if the
previous one is a really...

Hi there,
I've developed a reporting website in the past using a Windows Service
which periodically queried network hosts for data and produced a XML
report which could be parsed by a ASP website.
I want to rebuild this reportingsite using C# and ASP.NET and get rid
of the Windows Service.
My question is:

Does anyone know how to properly kick off a script using Windows
Import os and add os.system("pause") at the end of AutomatedTestRun.py
to keep cmd open.
As far as not seeing any output, I haven't had any trouble with that
before. Maybe you're doing something unusual?
Have you tried using the logging module, rather than print? Might be
more useful for what you're trying to do.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
