Hi there,
Currently i am having a problem with python's array class.
I am reading 3 arrays from a file (self.buffer32, self.buffer16,
self.buffer8 from self.fs) :

After looking around at various editors, I've finally decided on
(I think :-) ) Vim for my future work. (jed is a great editor,
but doesn't do neat things like allow me to write python code
to add to the editor functionality. Emacs is just too bloated
these days. jEdit is one of the best GUI editors I've seen, but
I've still not seen a GUI editor with the power of those with
a non-GUI ancestry. etc. etc.)

I have a remote linux server where I can only access it via ssh. I have
a script that I need to have run all the time. I run like so:
python script.py &
It runs fine. When I log off ssh I notice that the script died when I
logged off. How do I make sure it stays running?

Let me start by saying that I am coming from a background using Matlab
(or Octave), and C++. I am going to outline the basic nuts-and-bolts
of how I work in these languages, and ask for some help to find out how
the same thing is done in Python. I am not sure what the standard is.

the Java world. I was wondering what tool advice you could give me
about setting up a continuous integration environment for the python
code: get the latest source, run all the tests, package up, produce the
docs, tag the code repository. I'm used to things like Maven and
CruiseControl in the Java world.

I have a 250 Gbyte file (occupies the whole hard drive space) and want
