Re: Need Python Programmer (preferentially in Los Angeles)

Hello:

I think I can do it but would like more details.
I have been doing GUI work for years. I have been
doin Python only for the last 2 and 1/2 years. The
GUI work I have done there has been with TkInter and
wxPython.

Thanks:
Michael Yanowitz

I need a python programmer that can integrate graphics into
an
existing python application. The application is a basic
application
and the job should be pretty easy for an experienced Python
programmer. Los Angeles programmer is preferred but this
can
obviously be done from anywhere.
Please contact me at ro*********@yah oo.com is you can help
me.
Thank you.

I have been using Python for quite some time now and I love it. I use it mainly for explorative computing and numerical prototyping, ie testing and trying out different kinds of algorithms and computational schemes. The use of Python as my first-choice language has made me extremely productive. Now, I have always believed that Python is a poor performer in terms of numerical speed. My experience, however, is that the efficient use of...

I want to save some sensitive data (passwords, PIN numbers, etc.) to disk in a secure manner in one of my programs. What is the easiest/best way to accomplish strong file encryption in Python? Any modern block cipher will do: AES, Blowfish, etc. I'm not looking for public key stuff; I just want to provide a pass-phrase. I found a few modules out there, but they seem to be all but abandoned. Most seem to have died several years ago. ...

My Father is a Clone//ETs plotting to overthrow the human race! Stollman handed Horowitz a written statement and ordered him to read it while holding a gun on him. Unbeknownst to Stollman, KNBC immediately switched to a commercial, not permitting the statement to be transmitted. ...

Hi, I was rifling through python.org to see if there was an existing Python user's group for the Los Angeles area. Doesn't seem like it, so maybe we should start one? I'm interested in helping with the coordination of activities etc. Since everybody living in greater L.A. area is likely to have superhuman tolerance for traffic and commuting times, I see no reason why an L.A users' group couldn't cover the whole

Hi everybody I've been writing my very first application in Python and everything is running smoothly, except for a strange problem that pops up every once in a while. I'm sure is the kind of newbie thing every seasoned programmer knows. Sometimes a receive strange Syntax Errors from parts of code that worked perfectly minutes ago. What's even more puzzling is that those errors are pointed to another part of the module when I do some...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
