I've been trying to get Tix running with Python on Windows. Since
there is no binary distributions of Tix for Windows, it seems the
easiest way to install Tix is through IDiscovery's IDEStudio 1.9
(http://starship.python.net/crew/mike/Idle/). This went fine and I
ran the "Install Tix into Python" option at the end of the
installation, with the target Python installation being the Python 2.2
I just mentioned. I also ran the "Run Tix...

As far as I can tell, both maintainers of the Windows builds of
Python-LDAP haven't updated in about a year. This doesn't exactly
make the builds ancient or obsolete, but it would be nice to start
fresh with the latest version.
I've tried without success in building it myself. The hardest part is
simply that Python-LDAP is dependent on at LEAST two other projects --
OpenLDAP and Cyrus SASL. This increases the difficulty three-fold.

Hello.
I have an asp.net application that resides on a non-DC / BDC Sharepoint
Server (although it is logged into the domain). The application will perform
lookups based on the current user (integrated auth) to an LDAP server which
requires no login (AuthenticationTypes.None). When I run it, I get the
following ambiguous error:
Security Exception
Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed

discovered causes the error is when the client queries the LDAP server and a
record contains two values entered in one field that is semicolon ";"
separated. i.e. A telephone number. In RED below.
How can I handle this?
Thanks is advance for any help.
Note: The LDAP server is not a Microsoft AD server.

Hi all-
I am wondering if it is possible to add LDAP support to an existing installation of PHP 5.2.3 on FreeBSD 4.1.0 (i.e. without recompiling PHP). All of the documentation I find either deals with enabling LDAP support with PHP under Windows or compiling PHP using the --with-ldap switch otherwise. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm running python 2.5 (or 2.4) in an XP environment.
I downloaded and installed the .dll's from OpenLDAP-2.4.8+OpenSSL-0.9.8g-Win32.zip and copied the .dll's in c:/windows/system32 as instructed
now I get this error. Is there anyway to avoid building the python_ldap binaries? Apart from being lazy, I've got a secure system policy issue if I start compiling apps. I could give up and just start running in linux, but myxp environment is...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
