Do many people think that wxPython should replace Tkinter? Is this
likely to happen?
I ask because I have just started learning Tkinter, and I wonder if I
should abandon it in favor of wxPython.

Guess, that answers my question, but isn't "Tkinter was there first" a
very bad answer? :) It is kinda ugly too, so I wonder why it can't be

I'm trying to install wxPython 2.5.3.1 using Python 2.3.2 on a Fedora 2
machine.
I have python in a non-standard place, but I'm using --prefix with the
configure script to point to where I have everything. The make install
in $WXDIR seemed to go fine. I have the libxw* libraries in my lib/
directory
libwx_base-2.5.so@ libwx_gtk_adv-2.5.so.3.0.0*
libwx_base-2.5.so.3@ libwx_gtk_core-2.5.so@

I have sucessfully set up an HADR pair of databases. Everthing works
fine for the primary and secondary HADR databases, and manual takeover
works fine.
When I try to set up the second pair of databases for HADR in the same
instance, I get the following error message (I already sucessfully
started the standby database):
$ db2 start hadr on db tdsapp as primary
SQL1768N Unable to start HADR. Reason code = "99".

Hi all,
I'm getting a seg fault when I try to use minidom to parse some XML
inside a wxPython app.
I was wondering if someone else could run the simple code below on
Linux and, if it doesn't crash horribly, post which versions of
(Python, wxPython) they are using? I can't find other messages related
to this, so I suspect it is something broken with my installation.
I'm using Python 2.4.2 and wx 2.6.1.0.
