I am trying to run the latest Boa on Windows 98 2nd edition,
using python 2.2. The program starts up and immediately windows
gives it's stupid error box.
"This program has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down... blah blah blah..."
It is a pity that I am using a stupid Windows 98 machine
but my woes are for real apart from that. I can run a lot of python
code including IDLE, PythonWin, PyPE and the wxPython examples,

Hi,
I'm trying to get Boa running on MDK cooker but keep getting this
error. I have googled around for the error and it seems to have
something to do with the wxGTK version I'm using.
What version does everyone else use???

Hi,
i'm trying to get boa constructor working with Python 2.3.4
At first i tried with boa 0.2.3 but that gave me an error. After
searching the web, it appeared that it's best to work with the
CVS version. Well, i checked that version out and moved it
to C:\Python23\Lib\site-packages\wxPython\tools\boa
When i then try to run it "python boa.py" it gives me this
output (windows 2000):

Hi-
I've installed Python2.3.3 and the current release of Boa Constructor on
Windows Xp "professional" but get an error saying that global name wx is not
defined when I try to start Boa up. What have I done wrong?

Hey folks,
Is there anyway for a signal handler in python to get the information
from a 3 argument signal handler rather than just the signal number
and stack frame?
I've got an application where I have to check for F_SETLEASE on a file
in python on Linux 2.4. What this does is tells the kernel to notify
the current process with SIGIO that a particular file descriptor is being
modified by another process.

Folks,
I'm working on a contact name/address database whereby a slimed down list is
shown in the main window. When a record is selected, the complete record is
displayed in a new window via a call to window.open
As opposed to closing and re-opening new windows, I would prefer that when
the user is finished reading the complete record, they can click a link
whereby the main window is sent in to focus.

i am trying to develop a small gui app using boa constructor. say this
app has one frame which has one static text control. i want the frame
to resize itself to the width of the text contrl when i change the
label of the text control via SetLabel(). how can i do this in boa
