Listbox-multiple selections-selection history

4 New Member
Hi All
I am relatively new to Tkinter and am putting a wraparound to the ATNF ASAP program. In one part I present several long lists in list boxes for selection. My code will remember the multiple selections made but I woul also like to highlight and maintain the highlighted items as I make additional selections. I can maintain the highlighted selections from listbox to listbox, but can't seem to figure out how to maintain the selected items(via <double click>) within a listbox.
Any tips or suggestions?
Tnx
Gunnar

Hello. Can someone tell me what I may be doing wrong here? I'm using the code (lboxRP is a listbox): Dim newRPindex As Integer newRPindex = Me.lboxRP.FindString(RP) Me.lboxRP.SetSelected(newRPindex, True) When the last line executes, I get an error message:

Ok - I have a ListBox control and I'm ready to write my own DrawItem event handler. What I want to draw as the item is another control. I have created a user control that I would like to list in this listbox but I can't for the life of me figure out how to draw the control inside ListBox... I get as far as: private void lbImageList_DrawItem(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.DrawItemEventArgs e)

I have a problem. When I click in edit datagrid button I show two listbox and two button. I use two button to move data between two listbox. My problem is that I can't call the listbox in the button_click function because the only way to find the listbox is: (listbox)e.item.findcontrol What s the solution to this problem?

For some reason I cannot get the OnSelectedIndexChanged event to fire for a listbox I have on a page. I'm able to populate the listbox with data from a stored procedure, but cannot trigger the event. I do have EnableViewState = True for the listbox. I'm imagining (wanting) to populate the listbox named: lstNames by using the DataValueField from lstDepartments. It's quite apparent though that the event is not triggering as I can misname...

I am creating a "from-to" set of listboxes where the "left" listbox had a list of values and I want to be able to select these values, 1 at a time, and move them into a "right" listbox, removing the selected value from the left listbox. When you select any member from the left listbox and click on the button to move it to the right listbox, everything works fine. If you select the LAST member in the left listbox, and click on the button...

Hi all, After unsuccessfully trying to make my own dual listbox control out of arraylists, I decided to look for a 3rd party control. I've looked for over a week now and can't find anything but ASP.Net stuff when I need a Windows Form control. I've seen dual listbox populators in countless Windows applications, and have seen them run very fast, so I figured this would be extremely popular. Here's how it should work:

(If you've seen this in the drawing NG, sorry. I inadvertently sent it there.) I have a listbox populated with Objects. The Class has a String field that ToString returns. I assume that is what the ListBox uses for its display. Correct?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
