Hello, I do believe my python is mad or I'm mad...
I want python to open a file -
sp=self.listBox1.GetStringSelection().split("-")
-
-
new="%s-%s-%s-%s-%s" % (sp[0],sp[3],sp[2],sp[1],sp[4])
-
-
var="%s%s.fty" % (percorsob,mnew)
-
print "THIS IS VAR: ", var
-
-
f=open(var).read()
-
Output? -
THIS IS VAR: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documenti\fatture\handle\Client2-2008-01-11-35.fty
-
Errors? -
IO Error, no such file or Directory C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documenti\fatture\handle\Client2-2008-01-13-35.fty
-
But my var value ended for 11-35.fty not with 13-35.fty!
What's happening with my python?
(i don't have vars with the same name...python cannot make confusion!)

Dear Friends,
Python assignment is a reference assignment. However, I really can't
explain the difference in the following example. When the object is
a list, the assignment seems to be a reference. However, when the
object is a number, the story is so different. I don't understantd
for what reason Python deals with them differently. The example is
as follows:
>>> a =
>>> b = a

Hello Experts!
Assume I have a class called SphereClass as the base class and a class
called BallClass that is derived from the SphereClass. The copy constructor
initialize the left hand object in this case object b2 below. It also
initialize subobject from class SphereClass.
The BallClass copy constructor looks like this.
BallClass::BallClass(const BallClass& bc) : SphereClass(bc)

My lecturer gave us an assignment. He has a very "mature" way of
teaching in that he doesn't care whether people show up, whether they
do the assignments, or whether they copy other people's work.
Furthermore, he doesn't even mark the assignments, but rather gives
tips and so forth when going over students' work. To test students'
capabilities for the purpose of state exams and qualifications though,
he actually sits down with us at a...

A Python newbie, but some basic understanding of how classes, objects
etc work in eg VB.Net. However, I'm struggling a little to translate
this knowledge into the Python context.
I'm trying to teach myself this aspect of Python by working up a trial
project, part of which calls for pulling in data from a serial data
connection at regular intervals. It looked sensible to place all the
comms procedures/functions in their own class and...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
