Using Python 2,3,2 with idle for developing programs
about 200 lines long. - Problem is not common to any specific program.
Program are rather simple with no trick programming. Usually no classes but
a few functions using math module with long integers.
Usually for the first few tryout everything works fine and
then idle locks "out" windows xp pro.. I can run other programs, but
clicking on idle icon gets me an hour glass for a few...

I have a problem that I see on two different machines, one running XP
SP1 and one XP SP 2.
On both I installed Python 2.4.
I can't seem to start IDLE. When I try to start it, I get an hourglass
cursor for a short time then nothing more happens. This happens whether
I click the IDLE shortcut or click the pythonw.exe directly, or attempt
to launch pythonw from a command line.

command in IDLE (in fact with IDLE in general). Often I'll develop new
code at the command line, testing each line as I go. Currently I have to
copy and paste, removing outputs and the ">>>" at each line.

Hello,
I am using Python 3.0b2.
I have an XML file that has the unicode character '\u012b' in it,
which, when parsed, causes a UnicodeEncodeError:
'charmap' codec can't encode character '\u012b' in position 26:
character maps to <undefined>
