I apologize for what is probably a "stupid", uninformed question but
here goes...
I just inherited an ASP site project currently running off of a
Microsoft Access DB which I'd really like to convert to MySQL/PHP.
The only problem is that the site's host only supports Microsoft
Access and SQL DBs. MS SQL is simply not an option for us at this
time and the site is getting enough traffic that Access's 10
concurrent connection limitation...

try some things in Solution B without affecting Solution A?

To limit the solution size, rebuild time and so on we have divided the
project in two different solution.
One solution that holds the buiness entities, or mapping and stuff like
that.
One solution that holds the application, windows controls and stuff like
that.

We have an access desktop app with front-end/back-end situation where all
tables are in the back end and everything else, forms/queries, are in the
front end. We would like to make a web app to use the same access database
but are worried about access being able to handle web app users. Is it
feasible to move the access backend tables to the SQL Server and link the
sql server tables in the access front end? It will not help access...

I am by no means a serious programmer (which will become evident as you
read this very message), except that I use VBA almost daily to automate
Excel spreadsheets.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
