Hello,
My name is Angela Mastrodonato. I'm a web designer who would like the
assistance of a php programmer. Some of my clients have requested more
dynamic web sites, and I am in the beginning phases of learning php.
When it comes to common services, such as shopping carts, I have found
ways to modify existing scripts.
However, I have been getting requests for services that seem specific,
and require a more customized approach than...

Hi,
I love Python! I've been using it for a couple of years now and have found
it to be a highly productive language. I evangelize it to my developer
friends and am probably responsible for the sale of at least 10 Alex
Martelli books. I am now in the fortunate position of being able to use
Python for a large project, and as such I have a question.
We are developing a distributed application running on approximately six
thousand...

I have just discovered the existance of Puppy Linux which is a complete
operating system with a suite of GUI apps, only about 50 - 60M booting
directly off the CDROM ( http://www.puppylinux.org ).
This approach appears to me very Pythonic, so it were a nice thing to
have a full featured Puppy Linux Live CD prepared for Python programming.
Have someone already breed a Python Puppy and is so kind to share a copy
of it with me?

I was a C Programmer for a while. Lately started to learn Python for
one small project at school. I joined a small company where they use
C++ for development.
Can we use Python and C together ? I mean create some classes in Python
and some number crunching algorithms coded in C (for speed) and
integreate both of them.
Could somebody just show a real small example or give pointers to the
same.

How do you compare Python to Lisp? What specific advantages do you
think that one has over the other?
Note I'm not a Python person and I have no axes to grind here. This is
just a question for my general education.

I've been trying to install Mailman, which requires a newer version
of the Python language compiler (p-code generator?) than the one I
currently have on my linux webserver/gateway box.
It's running a ClarkConnect 2.01 package based on Red Hat 7.2 linux.
I downloaded the zipped tarball (Python-2.4.4.tgz), ran gunzip, then
un-tarred it in /usr/local. Then (logged in as root) from
/usr/local/Python-2.4.4 I ran the configure script which...

I am creating a distro of Python to be licensed as GPL.... am
wondering, what would anyone suggest as to 3rd party modules being put
into it (non-commercial of course!)? I know I'd put MySQLdb into it at
the very least. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Fark Simmons

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
