Sounds like you have
autocommit = 0
and
you have no
and
the table is using the innodb engine.
That would certainly act like change took place, but later appear that no data had been stored (because a transaction was never completed).
If you are still stuck, post a snippet, and I'll take a look at it

Hello there,
i have a strange problem. I can't get php to insert multiple rows at once in
a MySQL database. I use the
$sql = "INSERT INTO database (a,b,c,d,e) VALUES ('$a', '$b' ,'$c', '$d',
'$e')";
I want to insert 5 rows at a time in the database, but it only inserts every
5th record. For example:

When issuing updates in mysql (in the console window), mysql will tell
you if any rows matched and how many rows were updated (see below). I
know how to get number of rows udpated using MySQLdb, but is there any
way to get the number of rows matched? I want to find out, when rows
updated = 0, if there were no updates because the row wasn't found
(rows matched will = 0) or because the update would not have changed
any data (rows matched =...

I'm trying to add a row to a MySQL table using insert. Here is the code:
connection = MySQLdb.connect(host="localhost", user="root", passwd="pw",
db="japanese")
cursor = connection.cursor()
cursor.execute("INSERT INTO edict (kanji, kana, meaning) VALUES (%s, %s,
%s)", ("a", "b", "c") )
connection.close()
After running, a SELECT * on the table shows no new rows added. Adding

Hi All,
I have encountered a weird behavoir of embedded MySQL. Through a
simple program I made (in Delphi 6), I can insert rows to a table
through embedded MySQL and I can retrieve the rows from my program.
But using mysql.exe which points to the same table (through 127.0.0.1,
with the same basedir and datadir), I cannot see the rows I inserted
using my embedded program. Another way around, the rows inserted by
mysql.exe can be seen...

When the number of columns get large, it becomes increasingly
difficult to view the results of a select in a small window (e.g. 80
line xterm) because of line wrapping. Can I have the results of the
select query displayed rotated, e.g. like this:
+------+------+------+------+
| | row0 | row1 | row2 |
+------+------+------+------+
| col0 | 0 | 3 | 6 |
| col1 | 1 | 4 | 7 |

I don't know whether anyone can help, but I have an odd problem. I have
a PSP (Spyce) script that makes many calls to populate a database. They
all work without any problem except for one statement.
I first connect to the database...
self.con = MySQLdb.connect(user=username, passwd =password)
self.cursor = self.con.cursor()
self.cursor.execute("SET max_error_count=0")

Dear folks,
pardon me if this is a stupid question.
For this table

I understand that we can insert a row to the table per call, like this
sql_query = "INSERT INTO `table` (`foo`, `bar`) VALUES ('$string_1',

Hi!
I have a table I'm using as a stack to pop rows from. (The data in the stack is precomputed for efficiency and reliability.) There are a lot of duplicate rows in this table (hundreds or thousands of identical rows), but they are all inserted with a regular insert statement.
I have optimized it by using the multiple row insert syntax:
INSERT INTO TableName (Col1, Col2) VALUES
("Some value", "Another value"),
("Some value",...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
