I've been looking for a Windows version of a library to interface to
PostgreSQL, but can only find ones compiled under Python version 2.4.
Is there a 2.5 build out there?

On second thoughts, is there one anywhere without an extra multi-
megabyte dependency? This seems to rely on the eGenix 'mx' library.

IIRC version 2 (psycopg2) doesn't depend on mx: http://www.stickpeople.com/projects/....0-release.exe

I've been trying to build psycopg, a python adapter for PostgreSQL. In
order to build it, you need to have (among other things) the PostgreSQL
source code, headers and libraries. Since my Fedora install doesn't
include these things, I downloaded the source and ran configure and
make. At this point everything should be built and ready to install. I
don't want to run make install, since I already have a perfectly good
PostgreSQL installation...

I want to use PostgreSQL on a project that will have to run on
both Linux and Windows. But using cygwin is not a viable option.
Does the dbExpert version of PostgreSQL run natively under Windows?
Thanks in advance!

Is there any chance I can get a pre-release executable of the Windows
native Postgresql so I can start doing some application development? I
do not intend to deploy a buggy postgres, but even if it goes boom
occasionally it will allow me to build the app so that when everything
is finalized I'm months ahead on development.
It's important to note that I mainly use Borland compilers so unless
this will compile in c++ builder, I'll need...

I recently downloaded source code for 8.0.0 beta1. When I tried building the libpq for windows, I got some compilation errors. Following the compilation output:

cd include
if not exist pg_config.h copy pg_config.h.win32 pg_config.h

I'm having trouble with PHP & PostgreSQL/OpenLDAP/Apache on Windows.
I've set this up countless times on BSD (piece of cake) but I'm trying
to do this on Windows now so that my developer can work on her local
machine.
Everything looks pretty good. OpenLDAP/cygwin works great. PostgreSQL
works great. Apache runs. PHP runs.
But when I try to connect to my PostgreSQL server using PHPPgAdmin, I

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
