Hi;
How can I know the Key c and Ctrl on the keyboard are pressed? Or how
to let the program press the
key Ctrl+c automatically? I just want to use python to develop a
script program.

depends on where you got your input from and what do you exactly want
eg:
in a gui app you get input events from the gui toolkit (wx, gtk, sdl/
pygame...)
in a console app if you use curses lib then you can use getch() oslt
if you want a general solution to get input key events in a simple
script then you cannot do that.
however Ctrl+C is a special key combination: running python in a unix
terminal it raises KeyboardInterru pt exception, imho in a windows cmd
promt it raises SystemExit
so you can emulate those by using:
raise KeyboardInterru pt
or
raise SystemExit
hope this helps

No it is KeyboardInterru pt in Windows too.

Your humble opinion is wrong.
Under windows Ctrl-C raises KeyboardInterru pt just as it does under
linux. Ctrl-break by default terminates the program (without invoking
Python's usual cleanup), but you can override that behaviour by
registering a different signal handler.
e.g.
import signal
signal.signal(s ignal.SIGBREAK,
signal.default_ int_handler)
will make Ctrl-break raise KeyboardInterru pt just like Ctrl-C.

If you are on Windows and want to trap the Ctrl-C combination, just catch
the KeyboardInterru pt exception:
--- cut ---
from time import sleep
while 1:
try: sleep(1)
except KeyboardInterru pt: print "Ctrl-C pressed"
--- cut ---

I am using a TCPIP connection to communicate over port 23 (telnet) to
a server,
and I am having to mimic normal command line interface you owuld see
in a telnet session (i.e. I have to write to this socket just like you
would enter things on the keyboard if you telneted to this server).
In a normal telnet session you can enter some commands which take a
long time to complete, and they run in the background and you get the

I have a code to disable ctrl-v (paste) on the 2nd box. The problem
is that when I type ctrl-v, the text shows, then disappear
after I release ctrl-v. How can I make it not to show in the box. In
VB, I can set keyascii=0 to kill the input. Is there a similar way to
do it in JavaScript? Thanks a lot.

I use a mouse-down procedure to trap right mouse
clicks and CTRL-Right mouse clicks. Running the
procedure must put honey or some other sticky
substance into my keyboard because subsequent
RightMouseClicks run as if they were CTRL-RightMouseClicks
I have to close the form and reopen it to clear this
behavior. Then, after the first CTRL-RightMouseClick,
it starts all over again.

Well ... I've been using Windows for a long time before I switched to
Linux. I'm very used to type CTRL-ALT-DEL everytime I'm leaving my
computer or arriving to it. It's hapenned _twice_ (in the last six
months or so) for my Linux box.
I want to be able to reboot my machine with CTRL-ALT-DEL, but I don't
want to do it by mistake.
So, I noticed /etc/inittab has these lines

Hi Gang,
In most programs Ctrl+A is Select All. I'm inclined to use the most
common keyboard shortcuts, whenever possible. What are the names of
some programs that have a key assigned for select none and what key do
they use?
I think I'm going to go with Ctrl+ (Minus Sign), but I'm interested in
people's suggestions.
Thanks,

I'm developing a Wizard type program, and I'm flipping between steps
by using a TabControl.. buttons on each tabPage move to the next or
previous tabPage.
When I press CTRL+Tab however, the tabControl begins to cycle through
the tabPages, just as it does in Visual Studio, IE7 etc.. any tabbed
program.
I need this blocked.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
