Hello list,
Is anyone aware of a (light-weight, easy-to-use)
auto-upgrade framework for python scripts?
I find it hard to believe no one has wanted this before,
yet google doesn't find too much relevant stuff.
Thanks,
Best regards,
Stefaan. 5 2385 st***********@g mail.com wrote:

Auto-upgrade from what to what?

Interesting question.
In my case I want my program to check for (e.g.) bug-fix releases on
some location (network drive or ftp), and if available, allow to
automatically download and install them.
Kind of like the AutoUpgrade functionality in .net (*shudder*) ;)

Since you mention .NET and didn't state otherwise, I'm assuming
Windows platform? You should probably take a look at Inno Installer
with web update wizard: http://www.powerprogrammer.co.uk/web...-download.html

No, I need both linux and windows. I guess this means

I developed a C# application and a windows installer application that
properly installs the C# application on a new machine.
After the C# application is installed I would like to automatically start it

- How do I instruct the setup program to start execution of the newly
installed program?
- Is there a good general resource that documents the use of the installer?

I would like to find out how to turn on the Auto Complete variable names
feature while editing source code in Visual Studio. It seems to appear on
intermittantly, and when it does the variable list is incomplete or contains
variables that do not even exist in the project being worked on. It seems
like there should be a setting to turn this on and keep it up to date but I
cannot find anything in MSDN. It is also a complete mystery why it...

I've checked the SQL Server log and all of the logs available in the

Hello.
sorry if this has been answered previously. I use a main wrapper div to
put the whole site in it. And I use
margin: 0 auto 0 auto

for this?
Thanks

How upgrade oracle 8i database to 9.2.0.4?
1. Install 9201, run db upgrade scripts, then apply 9204 patch.
2. Install 9201, apply 9204 patch, then run db upgrade scripts.
Are there any knowing issues using the second approach?
Thanks,

Our technical guy says that our linux server is running PHP 4. I
thought we were running 5 already.
He says he wants to charge us £500 a year to install and support it
because it is a lot of work, and the problems it will create on our
current systems are huge etc.
Now I installed 5 on my PC at home running Apache without any problems
and develop sites locally and then upload to the server (running 4). I
have never had a problem with...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
