I may have an opportunity to develop an online ordering system for a
client, and will have the ability to develop using any tool I choose.
Given the fact that there are more web frameworks in Python than
keywords ;-) , what I need to know is any experience anyone out there
has had integrating credit card processing with the various Python
web frameworks. Until now, my only practical experience is with Zope
2.x, but I'm open to any and all alternatives, so long as it's Python!

I'm implementing a simple credit card number check on my website, in order
to trap user errors. it doesn't validate with the bank, but validates
against certain known rules (e.g. Amex always begins with xxxx)
The scripts I've found work fine for Mastercard, Visa, Diner's Club and a
few American only cards, but there's nothing on Google about European/UK
cards like Solo, Switch and Maestro.

Now i want to take credit card payments via a form.
i will then download the details and process them via our credit card
machine.
do i just create a regular ASP form and use a certificate on the
server to encrypt the data ? ie https://server/getpaymentform.asp
there is nothing special about the form is there ?
