I would like to check login credentials, ie username and password, from
Active Directory via an asp page. This will allow users to login to a
restricted area of the website using their windows login and password. I
read a thread about it on here, but it just said that it was possible, it
didn't say how it was possible. Any suggestions? Examples would be
EXCELLENT.

In java, this seems so easy. You need a new object
Object test = new Object() gives me exactly what I want.
could someone please help me understand the different ways to do the
same thing in C++. I find my self sometimes, trying
Object app = Object();
Object *app = Object();
Object app = new Object();

Summary
---------
I'm looking for a C++ IDE. If I'm going to learn something, I prefer it
to be free-of-charge (preferably and open-source base), extensible (read:
language independent, plug-in capable, etc), and platform independent. A
broad community of support would be nice, too.

At the moment, we have a simple user id / password entry screen to login to
our website, the data credentials are held in our database.
We've now been asked to integrate with active directory so that users on the
lan who are already logged in via active directory no longer need to log
into the website, but automatically are logged in using their network userid
(which should match the old website login).
I can see how I could prompt for...

My goal, somehow, is to populate a dropdownlist with all the user names
in active directory. I don't even know where to begin, really.
I added a reference to System.DirectoryServices so I could use the
System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory namespace. I don't even know if
this is the right way to go as I can't seem to find anything in that
namespace that would help me query active directory for names.
I can't use an LDAP query...

Does anyone know what would be the best way to have a website have access to
the clients computer (with his permission ofcourse when ) so he can save and
upload files by the click of a webform button (without getting save as
dialogs)
Is ActiveX the best solution? Is this technology the best we should use for
running full permission code in the client?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
