Exceptions must not be used to control program flow. I intend to show that
this statement is flawed.
In some instances, exceptions may be used to control program flow in ways
that can lead to improved code readability and performance.
Consider an application that must eliminate duplicates in a list.

I have a weird .RC corruption problem with MSVC .NET 2003.
I have a .RC file that has been in use for years with .NET inside a project called Netcount. Recently I upgraded to .NET 2003 and migrated the project.
Now, everytime I access the resources to change a dialog or so, then, when I compile, the compiler halts with errors:

Hi,
I have been looking for a good way to convert python code into a
control flow graph.
I know of Python functions that will convert an expression into an
abstract syntax tree (i.e. ast = parser.expr('(x+5)*5') then t =
ast.totuple() then t), but I am not sure how to obtain a CFG.
I've gone through the compiler and it has code that converts the AST

I'm new to the VB programming world and am having a problem with flow control. In the code below I check 3 textboxes and display a messagebox if one or more are left blank. The problem lies in that I don't know how to stop the program flow after the user clicks the OK button on the message box. The program continues to run. I know that I am missing some piece of code to halt the flow. Thank you for any help with this problem. My email is...

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 3600 seconds exceeded in z:\home
\localhost\www\somefile.php on line 138
php.ini setting fixes default max execution time at 30 sec,
In the script itself I have set_time_limit(0);
I have also tried set_time_limit(90000); with no luck.
Checked if php was running in safe mode, and it wasn't.
Are there any other reasons that can cause this behavior?

open large .php file and I try to use scroll bar, Eclipse halts (I mean it
doesn't respond).
I use last stable version of Eclipse PDT in Fedora 8 Linux.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
