collaborative web navigation tool in python (z9)

Hi all,

I'm working on an experimental collaborative web navigation tool in
python and zope.

The basic idea is to map users interests in web pages and use this to
provide persolaniled services, like recommended pages, filtered
searches, etc.

The address is http://andrers52.dyndns.org:8080/z9

I'd like to invite everyone to participate and send any comments.

Thanks!

André

I'm thinking of implementing a real-time collaborative text editor in Python using Twisted. An initial plan is to use a Twisted PB server daemon that accepts user:password:file connections from text editor clients to make changes to a specified file on the server, and have the text editor clients update their local copies of the file based on...

Hi, My first post here. I've found some serious accessibility flaws in the Python 2.4 docs and wish they could be rectified over time. I'm very new to Python and initially contacted docs at python org, However, I haven't gotten a reply for a week or so, and figured out I could post here for a larger audience, then. Original message...

Hi, I am a bit disapointed with the current Python online documentation. I have read many messages of people complaining about the documentation, it's lack of examples and the use of complicated sentences that you need to read 10 times before understanding what it means. That's why I have started a collaborative project to make a user...

I am sure I must be missing something about building navigation bars with CSS. Yes it is a very clever and efficient way to format navigation structures on simple one navigation level webs, i.e. six buttons which when clicked go to a separate web page. But here is where I must be missing something, am I right in thinking that if you wish...

Hi, While comparing the speed of octave and matlab, I decided to do a similar test for python and matlab. The result shows that python is slower than matlab by a factor of 5. It is not bad since octave is about 30 time slower than matlab. Here is the result in matlab: Elapsed time is 0.015389 seconds.

We have the z900s in-house and would like to know if we should go with z9 or z10 ? The folks want to go z9 as z10 is a bit pricier. Do you think its a wise choice ? If not, why not ? Part of the hesitation is that z10 is also fairly new in the market. Please advice.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
