Hi there everybody!
The problem is the following:
we have a DLL (H2O.dll) - compiled in Visual Fortran - depending in turn on
another DLL.
H2O.dll contains only one (1) function, with a known name (WATER).
The WATER function is called with the following parameters:
- TT (datatype: double precision)
- PP (datatype: double precision)
- State (datatype: integer)

This program is long. I don't really want to bore everyone with the
details, but it handles wierd cases like:
/\
* this is a comment *\
/
#define FOO ??/* this is not a comment */
char *a = /* this is a comment "\*/"this is a string"/*" another comment */;

I wrote a program, and found one line of source code
not compiled out. I rewrote it for simplicity as below.
The comment in the program is big5 code text.
--- my program ---
main(){
int i, a;
for (i=0;i<3;i++) a=0;
// ÁקK³Q·j´M¦¨¥\
a=-1;

All,
Wanting to find a way to create web pages to add to my website without
having to recompile the codebehind everytime I want to add a new one...
Here's the deal:
I have a web app that takes work orders for 7 different items, each item
gets 1 page for input specs. All works well. I want to add a new item. I
do not want to recompile and redistribute my app everytime just to add a new
input page. Can ASPX resources be compiled into a...

I have a C# application that builds dynamic HTML and renders it. Because it
is rendered in this way, the input controls are not server controls. I write
the entire page, which has a variable number of detail lines for an order. I
want the user to be able to change values on these detail lines and hit an
'update' button. I know how to do this in Javascript, but I'd like to be
able to inspect the controls that come back to my C# program...

I'm in my last week in High School and my last program has seemed to have been shot. My teacher blames it on the computers and says that my program should run, but I have an error opening my files.
This is my header:

#include<iostream.h>
#include<string.h>
#include<fstream.h>
#include<IO.h>
struct carinfo

char vehicle,manu,model;

Hi,
I'm using RSA Securid Tokens, and I'm going to write a little 'C' program
that takes as input the userid (i.e. "jsmith") and the number displayed on
the token (i.e. "123456") and returns a result code indicating whether
authentication is successful.
The compiled 'C' program will be called from a PHP script.
I know that if I pass the parameters on the command line, i.e.

Hi experts,
We are trying to migrate from Visual Studio 6 (C++ project) on Windows 2000
to Visual Studio 2005 SP1 on Windows Vista but found that the migrated
program runs slower in both OS.
A looping section of the original program (compiled with VC6) running in
Windows 2000 takes 400ms but the same program (compiled with VS 2005) in
Windows Vista but copied to the Windows 2000 machine (together with the VC
Redistribution libraries) to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
