Hi,
I've tried to execute from the buffer (C-c C-c) this python script:
s=''
s=raw_input('En ter a string:')
but I got this error:
Enter a string:Tracebac k (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 2, in ?
EOFError: EOF when reading a line
I'm using Xemacs 21.5.19 compiled on Fedora Core 3 --with-mule --with-gtk
Can anybody help me?

I have a python script that spawns a number of threads (configurable) on a
12 processor AIX RISC-6000 machine. It works fine, so long as I am running
less than 5 threads. With more than 5, I get errors, but only on AIX, not
on Linux.

I just compiled Python 2.3.2 on my local machine as an upgrade from 2.2.
This appears to have broken my python-mode.el in emacs. When I try to
"Execute Buffer" Ctl-c Ctl-c I get:
Wrong type argument: sequencep, cpython
Any Ideas?

I am probably going to start a war now... but so be it :)
I just want to hear what all you guys who eat pythons for breakfast use
for python coding. Currently I use Kate, but I would really like an IDE
with debugger and a source browser (ie. one the I can use to browse
through modules etc. when looking for just the right curses stuff and such
- I am a newcomer to Python).

When I edit a Python script with XEmacs, then hit C-c C-c, the script is
executed, the output is shown in a *Python Output* buffer, and the
cursor is moved into this buffer.
How can I change the behaviour so that the cursor stays where it was
before? I'm using Revision 4.29, if it matters.

I am sure this is old news, the syntax of python is crazy to me.
There I said it, I'm sure I'll get over it or around it.
I was trying to make a whois script work and was unable.
May be someone with lint-like eyes can tell what's wrong.
Using xemacs I had hoped that python mode would do more
for syntax problems, maybe I'm just not using python mode
correctly in xemacs??

The only thing that works is M-x customize-group python, and change the
