Index server

Is there an Index server available in Python? For example:
I have large intranet with several servers and I would like to index
documents like search engines do. Users then can search for a domument
in ALL intranet servers like I do on Google.
Thanks for answers

I'm just about to start a project that needs to combine the results of a SQL Server query with the results of an Index Server query. The basic idea is that the user enters/selects a bunch of search criteria on a form. Most of the criteria selected by the user will be used to select records from the database - standard WHERE clause stuff - but the user can also enter free-text that should be searched for in associated uploaded documents. The...

We are having some troubles with corrupt indexes on our SQL 2000 dbase. It is only affecting 2 tables out of about 150 we have. These 2 tables are heavily used. We have run dbcc repairs; dropped and recreated indexes but the problem persists

I am trying to understand how the data in sql server is stored and also regarding fill factor and page splitting. 1) My first question what is the difference between Index pages and Data pages. and how are they different for clustered and non clustered indexes and heap tables. 2) What is the relation between index and data pages.

We are having quite a time since moving a large database to a new server (actually built new server, renamed as old to make seamless for users, etc.) Import 104 million row database (5 column) into table (CD_Assets_bad2) from existing (CD_Assets): Account(varchar(8)) TransactionDate(datetime(8) Flow(varchar(1)) Category(varchar(7))

I have a primary key that comprises 2 columns (lets say ReportDate and Symbol). I know that if I submit a statement like SELECT * FROM T1 WHERE ReportDate = '20031219' AND Symbol = 'XYZ' it will use the index. But how about the statement SELECT * FROM T1 WHERE Symbol = 'XYZ'? Do I need to create another index on symbol alone?

I'm sure this must be something incredibly simple but I just can't see what the problem is. I have some webspace which is accessed along the following lines http://site.address.com/subdir/ but instead of my browser (either Firefox or IE) picking up the index.html file and displaying it I just get a list of all the files in that subdirectory which of course includes the file index.html. Any

I am reading "SQL Server Query Performance Tuning Distilled", on page 104 it talks about one of the index design recommendations which is to choose the column that has very high selectivity of values instead of a column that has very few selectivity of values. My question is if I have currently indexes on my tables that have 1, 2, 3, 4, ... values only on thousands of rows, are these nonclustered indexes pretty much useless indexes that...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
